Lauren Holowesko Perez brings a dynamic blend of global education, artistic flair, project management expertise, and deep Bahamian heritage to the New Providence Realty team. A 12th-generation Bahamian, Lauren returned home after completing her studies abroad to lead and support a range of high-profile development projects throughout The Bahamas.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and a Master of Arts from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London, UK. She remained in London for six years, working for the auction house Phillips de Pury and the design gallery Carpenters Workshop, before returning home to begin The Island House development project.
As Project Manager and Director for The Island House—a 30-room boutique hotel in Nassau—Lauren oversaw every aspect of the development, from concept and budgeting to government approvals under the Hotel Encouragement Act, building permits, contract negotiations, site planning, design, and cost control. She also played a key role in the development of premier resort infrastructure at Highbourne Cay in the Exumas.
Lauren opened TERN gallery on The Island House property in December of 2020, and it has grown into an internationally recognised art gallery and consultancy service, bringing artists from the Bahamas and wider Caribbean to the international art market.
Today, Lauren continues her involvement in real estate and hospitality as the Creative Director of New Providence Development Company, working closely with the ownership team to continue driving new and exciting hospitality and development projects.
Fluent in Spanish, Lauren lives in Lyford Cay and is a member of the Lyford Cay Club and the Old Fort Bay Club.
